I have a PVC-u window frame. I have drilled a hole in the wrong place and would like to know if I can repair it?
A
  Yes. This can be repaired using White Two-Component Filler if the hole is large. If the hole is small, use Hard Wax. The repair can then be blended in using Pigmented Lacquer aerosol in a matching colour to the profile.

  I have a piece which has broken off the corner of my PVC-u window frame. Can I repair this?
A
  Yes. Use the Two-Component Filler to restore the shape, then blend in the repair with Pigmented Lacquer aerosol in a matching colour to the profile.

  I have several tiny marks on my woodgrain effect PVC-u, which has allowed the white to show through. Can I touch them up with anything?
A
  Yes. Briwax Professional Lacquer Pens will either spot or draw grain effect for small areas.

  Can I repair scratches on my woodgrain effect windows?

  Yes. Specially selected colours of Briwax Professional Hard and Soft Waxes for oak / cherry or mahogany profiles make repairing woodgrains fairly easy.

  The holes for the hinges have been drilled on the wrong side of the frame. Can I fill them?
A
  Yes. Use either Hard Wax for smaller holes or Two-Component Filler for larger ones.

  I have a large piece missing from the edge of a sill. Is it possible to repair that?
A
  Yes. Even fairly large breakages can be repaired using Two-Component Filler, which can be tinted using the Briwax Professional Colourfix Touch-Ups for woodgrain if necessary.

  I have white windows. I understand that there are twelve different waxes and lacquers. How do I know which one is for me?

  Find out more from the people who fitted your windows and find out who is the manufacturer of the profile. Then, using the list supplied you can determine the colour that you need.

Can I repair any sort of wood?

  With 60+ colours of Briwax Professional hard and soft waxes there aren’t many substrates that cannot be tackled.

  After effecting a repair how do I prevent the wax from attracting dirt?
A
  By using Briwax Professional repair lacquer to seal-in the job in the sheen level of the piece of furniture.

  Can I repair my laminate floor and worktop?

  Yes, the range of Briwax Professional includes 2 pack-fillers which can be tinted and touch up paints for smaller areas. Also available is a range of Quickfill colours for those saw chips that occur at the edges of laminate floors.

  Can I use Briwax Professional to repair my outdoor furniture?

  By using the same procedures up to the finishing lacquer part where the Acrylic lacquer should be used.

  Can I do anything about a cup mark in a lacquered piece of furniture?
A
  Bloom eliminator will remove cup marks and other blooming (White areas in lacquer) with a simple spray application.

  I have some digs and chips on my furniture. Can I repair it?
A
  Yes. This can be repaired by using Hard and Soft Wax, followed by the Repair Lacquer.

  I have a wall unit where two of the panels have faded in colour. Can I restore the colour?
A
  Yes. Use Toning Lacquer in the colour of the unit and this will revive the colour.

  I have a door on my wall units which has had a corner broken off. Can it be repaired?
A
  Yes. The corner can be re-made using Two-Component Filler. Rebuild the damage, allow to harden. Shape using abrasive paper. When the damage has been finished it can be blended into the surrounding finish by using the Retouch Paintbox or Colourfix Touch-Up.

  The hinge on my kitchen cabinet door has broken off. Do you have anything I can repair it with?
A
  Yes. The area around the hinge can be filled using Two-Component Filler. This will hold the hinge in place. Once hard, the repair can be blended in by using the Retouch Paintbox or Colourfix Touch-Up.
