Fineline Pens These are pens containing highly opaque lacquers used mainly in the window industry for colouring mitre joints during manufacture. On site they can be more useful than lacquer pens because the tip is finer so it is possible to recreate grain marks on the woodgrain foils. Colours available specifically for the window industry are 402 Base Mahogany; 1342 Mahogany Grain; 1185 Oak/Cherry; Rosewood and of course white.
On the woodfinishing side, because of their narrower tip, they can actually be used in pairs to re-create grain patterns on any substrate and, because of the high opacity of the lacquer, can be used to cover over darker marks. |

Gas Heating Iron Essential tool for melting the Hardwax forming the basis of most repairs. It is imperative to have a tool which will melt Hardwax without over-heating it as this will cause the colour to change (Burning) and will also affect the viscosity of the melted wax (Will become too runny to keep enough wax on the blade to fill the hole). The heating Iron runs on normal butane gas (not supplied on delivery due to regulations regarding postage). Tips can be bought separately if they become blocked with wax or other workshop debris. To prevent this please do not stand the iron on its end and/or wipe excess wax off regularly before it has time to run in and block the air passageway. |

Hardwax The beginning of most repairs, Hardwaxes are melted using a special heating tool to create a colour close enough to that of the substrate that will be a sound base from which to work with the other products to complete a repair. Hardwax can be used for quite large holes or scratches due to it’s durability but should normally be used in conjunction with Softwax on woodgrain finishes. There are 69 colours in this range with regular additions. Colour matching can be done at an additional cost. |

In the woodfinishing side they can be used to colour the edge of a laminate panel or for touching-up small areas. Available as single colours or a box of 12. See also Fineline pens. |

Window kit The complete kit for window and conservatory frame repairs. The kit contains the correct colours in waxes for all the woodgrain foils and a white lacquer of your choice dependant on which profile is to be repaired. This kit would suit window/conservatory fitting teams and on site repairers as well as being useful in a workshop environment as some marks occur on the profile before manufacture. This could save the considerable expense of replacing parts of frames. |
